Welcome to Woody's Cider

Frank Wood started making Cider in September 2008. Launched in 2009 Woody's Cider has fast gained a reputation for quality and taste. Made from locally sourced varieties of apples (or pears), collected, milled and pressed in season, the juice is then left to ferment on its own sugars and yeasts for a minimum of 12 months. Usually dry at about 6% ABV, sugar can be added to suit customer requirements. Our best seller is Medium Dry, and we have also produced a Honey Cyser, called Dr Bobs in his Memory, specifically for the Stoke Beer Festival, which was delicious.

In addition at the Nottingham Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival, we have received in 2013 a Bronze Awarded for our 6% Bottle Cider Vintage 2009, and Bronze for our Draft Medium Cider. This year 2014, we have received a Gold for Bottle Still Cider,and a Bronze for Perry.

Along with supplying local hostelries and regional Beer Festivals, we were delighted to supply 6 barrels of Woody's Cider to the Great British Beer Festival. In 2010
